variable references + stopping and resuming module?

Apr 05, 2017

Hey there. For one of the modules I'm working on, I'm adding variable references (https://community.articulate.com/series/74/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-add-variable-references), with the idea that the user would end the module with a compiled set of their notes. I'm wondering what happens if a user leaves the module part of the way through and then comes back to complete it. Is their work lost, or is there a way for their work to be saved, if the module is published so that users can resume from where they left off?

Hi there Kyle,

Yes, you can absolutely set up a notes feature within your course that will save the data when a user returns to the session. You'll want to be sure you select "Prompt to Resume"  or "Always Resume" within the resume behavior. Here are two examples of how this has been done in Storyline, and I'm sure the community will have more to share here!
