In the Storyline, when an audio is imported to a slide, the way we can control/scrub the audio is by using the Seekbar on the Player skin. What I would like to be able to do is to have something like Video Controls for audio. Has anyone done this before? I would like to know what tools are used to convert mp3 to video (flv/mp4/wmv). Thank you in advance.
see this post - I had this requirement a couple of months ago. I inserted the mp3's into Articulate replay then converted to mp4 and inserted into SL2. In my case I had a talking heading image and inserted the video, then shrank it down to be the width of the image, and added the control bar. If you need a sample let me know.
Thank you Wendy. I totally forgot about the Articulate Replay. Anyway I was using the Adobe Media Encoder CC to achieve the same effect. But the problem I have right now is that the control is not showing up in the HTML5.
Would you be able to try mousing over the file in your published output? You should then see that the controls appear. Please check out this sample file in Chrome for illustration.
I know this is an old post but I've just had the same problem. I have audio and I converted it to MP4 (using Adobe Media Encoder) so that I could use the Storyline video controls (play, pause, scroll). I can see the controls fine when I preview and I've tested it in an LMS (again, it worked fine). However, I have a reviewer who said the controls didn't appear for them. I can't replicate their issue and I'm wondering how you resolved the issue? Was it because it was published with HTML5? Was it a Flash version issue?

Hi Kerry,
I don't know if Ben is still subscribed here - but I'm happy to help!
Do you know what browser they're viewing it in? What version of Storyline are you using?
