Video embedding in Storyline
Mar 12, 2015
Previously I have embedded MP4's in each slide but is there a way to have an externally stored video (vimeo for example) which plays on the base slide layer then the content flicks through using layers on the storyline?
Just trying to cut down production time as editing hours of video into one video per slide can take hours and I wondered if having the whole video stored externally but linked to the base layer might be quicker....if it's even possible? Anyone out there who knows???

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking but you can definitely have an external video play on the base layer of a slide by inserting it as a Web Object set to play within the slide. You won't be able to add interactive content overtop of your video. (You can add content on a layer over the video that can appear but if you try to click on anything or even move your mouse into the screen everything will disappear but the web object.)
Thank you so much, that's exactly what I needed to know.
Glad that Brett was able to assist you here Elizabeth!
