Rounding

Jan 31, 2020

I'm at a loss.  I've tried everything I can think of.

It works for the same functions on slides 1.11 "Other Hiring Personnel" layer and also on the follow-up slide 1.12.

It doesn't work on slide 11.1 Base layer "Total Annual Hours hiring C players" or it's follow-up slide 1.13.  Which are almost copies with different variables.

Which of the sets the user goes to, depends on slide 1.3.  If they enter "n" it goes to 1.11 "Other Hiring Personnel".   If they enter "y" it goes to 1.11 base layer "Total Annual Hours hiring C players" then 1.13.

There must be something off that leads up to 1.11 Base layer but I don't see it.   Maybe something is in the wrong order?  It's probably something silly, I just know it :|

Please help someone :\

It's hard to say without the file in terms of how it works and how it's supposed to work - but have you tried to create some sort of text box debugger (a text box with something like Var 1: %myVar1%, Var 2: %myVar2%, etc) so that you can see when the variables change and when? Depending on how things calculate - you might try slowing down the timeline (delaying those calculations) so you can track them.

If you're using javascript, you can always use console.log(); in the script and see what's coming out in the console.

As I read this more and unpack it, it seems like the issue might be with navigation. Here's another debugging technique. Build a debug layer with say a box in it. Instead of your condition to navigate to another slide, have it open that layer. This way you'll see if the functionality is working or not on the action you think it should be working on.

Do this for all your actions that might navigate to find which one is causing the issue. Hope that might help or give you push through. ~l
