Good afternoon. I am facing a problem when published the course and play in IE 11 the video images look blurry while same link if we play in Chrome it look much better. Has anyone faced such issue or any solution.
Really sorry you're seeing some blurriness with the HTML5 output when in IE11. I found some reports that may match your experience, but I want to dig deeper to be sure.
Can you help me with:
What version of Storyline you're using?
Can you share some detail on the type of video you're inserting into your project? Is it a screen recording, or something else?
This is a perfect opportunity to do some digging into your file. Are you able to share your .story file here or privately through this link?

Hi Katie,
I am creating course in Storyline 3 (3.1.12115.0).
I am working on simulation videos. So that first i create a video in Flash with simulation animations and then import it in storyline. It's a Mp4 format video.
I am having this same issue with a Storyline 360 course that includes screen recordings. The videos are MP4s and compression has been turned off in Storyline 360.
When I view the course on Review using Chrome, it looks crisp and clean. When I use IE, the videos are blurry and pixelated.
Initially, I had wondered if the problem was related to the Review platform. So I published the course for Tempshare instead. The difference in video quality between the browsers is also seen in that version.
Our team is continuing to investigate some issues with blurry videos in Internet Explorer 11, so we will keep folks posted on that here! I also wanted to let you know that we're now on Storyline 360, build 3.23.17480.0 in case you'd like to update to the latest and greatest!
Hello, has any progress been made on this? We are witnessing the same issue. Our company is an IE shop, so we need to figure out how to make images clearer in IE.
Very sorry you've come across this issue. Although I don't have an update to share yet, we promise to update this discussion with any new information. Here's an inside look at how we tackle bugs!
While our team continues to investigate this bug, we're happy to have a close look at your project to see what custom approaches we can offer. If you're able to share the .story file, please use this private upload link. We'll let you know what we find and will delete the file after. 🔎
Patrick - if you are able to come up with a workaround or any additional insights while working with the Articulate team, please share what you learn if you feel comfortable doing so.
Although IE 11 has a small market share overall, it's still what our office uses too.
I have tried everything. I have my screen size to 1024 and I use mp4's and still on publish the video is very blurry. I am viewing it from Review 360 on Chrome.
Hello, I have a client who could not read the module under IE with the platform "Onlineforma Pro". We did several tests (including Scorm Cloud). In the end, it was possible to read the module by publishing in HTML5 / flash. However the client being a large group blocks the "Flash Player" for security reasons. We are in a dead end. Would someone have a workaround ?
Looks like you've taken the right steps to start troubleshooting! Was everything displayed correctly using SCORM cloud? If so, I would check the system requirements for Onlineforma Pro. Also, which version of Storyline are you using and which version of IE are your users on?

Hi Katie,
Appreciate the extra details, Vishal! Hm, I'm curious if updating to the latest Storyline 3 build (3.3.15007) will help with this issue.
I'd also love to try to replicate this behavior with your file on my end – please do let me know if you're able to share your .story file of just a slide with a video with me privately. I'll be standing by!

I am using Storyline 360 v3.21.17083.0.
Any ideas on how I could fix the issue?
Thanks,

Our office also uses IE11 and we are currently affected by this issue. I would appreciate any updates as well.

Has anyone found a good workaround for this issue?

Hi Everyone,
Good news! We fixed the issue in Storyline 360 where videos are blurry/pixelated when viewed in IE11.
Here's how to install the latest Storyline 360 update to see all the recent enhancements and fixes.
If the problem reappears, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me or connect with a support engineer, and we'll be happy to help!
