I'm wondering if anyone has seen this issue...I have created a 3 slide course: introduction, video slide and final exam. The video slide contains an hour long .mp4 that is self contained on the slide. When I click the next button on this slide, I can't advance to the next slide (final exam) right away. It lags for a few minutes before advancing. Is this because of the length of the video. Is there a way around it? I have received a number of complaints that the course is broken when, in fact, it's just lagging. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Since the video is... quite large, it is possible that the file size is slowing down the entire course.
I suggest that you upload your video on a service, such as YouTube or Vimeo, and embed the video on your slide.
Hello Yardley and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are running into with your course.
It sounds like the second slide has not had time to fully load and Jean-Christophe has a great solution to reduce the size of your course.
Here is some information on how Storyline pre-loads the content for smooth playback.
