videos not playing in internet explorer
Dec 09, 2014
I tried searching for this answer but I can't seem to find anything definitive.
I have sent a Storyline 2 course published to the web in html to a client. They are viewing it through Internet Explorer. Still checking on which versions. They can get it to work locally but when the file is uploaded to the server, everything works fine except the videos don't play. The original videos were an mp4. The client says they are showing up as a shockwave file. I think this is due to articulate publishing but I'm not confident in this. What solution is out there to get the file to work using IE in a server environment?
Cheers, Julie

Sorry the original videos are an mpeg file
Hi Julie!
If MP4 videos don't display when your Articulate content is hosted on a server, it's likely that the server isn't configured to play these files. See this article for more information.
I believe IE is not supported for HTML5 output, if that is how you published with it enabled.
Thanks Leslie for the link, I'll pass it on. Thanks David, already made that mistake :). I now have published to html only. Thanks for your help, too! Julie
