Web object - white flicker IE

May 30, 2018

Hi,

We have a web object (html5 canvas) animation on stage, built in Animate. When viewing the published output in Chrome (both locally and on SCORMcloud, the animation comes in perfectly. However, when viewing in IE11, locally the animation comes in fine, but when hosted on an LMS, you see a white flicker the size of the animation before the animation kicks in. This flicker is not present when replaying that page, so only on the first load.

Here is a clip of the issue:

Has anyone else come across this issue when using web objects in IE, and has anyone found a solution?

Course is Storyline 360, published HTML5 only.

Cheers.

Hi Ross,

We've seen a few instances where the slide flickers between slide transitions or state changes of an object in the HTML5 output in IE11, but I can't find anything specific to a web object.

I'd love to take a look at your .story file and the web object to test a bit further. Or, if you can share the link to SCORM Cloud here, that would help as well.
