What happens to Fonts?

Hi everybody. I'm going through this issue: me and a friend of mine sometimes are working on the same projects. For instance, I prepare some slides, and I share the file on our dropbox. He then download that file, he works on it (he does translations) and then he upload the new file in our dropbox. When I open the new one, I have some fonts discrepancies, even if they are the same in type, size and style. As you can see from the screenshots attached the font is AvenirNext LT Pro MediumCN, size 11, no Bold. In my fiend project appears ok, in mine, it looks oversized (like if it is in Bold) but as you can see is not. It happens also with other fonts. Same parameters (even for the text box itself, and obviously for the slide size) but different appereance. Any help? It is really time consuming to fix again the slides.

Hello Francesco!

Thank you for attaching screenshots of what you're noticing! I also see that the font is the same, but it is displayed differently on both of your project files. When working on the project, are you also downloading the .story file to your local drive before opening it? If not, I'd recommend downloading the file because what you are experiencing might occur if a file is still downloaded to a shared drive while editing.

Also, are both of you using the same version of Storyline 360? If not, you might consider updating Storyline 360 to make sure you are working on the project using the same version.

We'll start there and continue troubleshooting if either one of those suggestions doesn't do the trick!
