I have a course that has a test at the end. The user takes the test and if they get 80 they pass. If they score less than 80, there is a retry test button.
My questions are:
1. When does the test score get sent to the LMS?
2. I have a submit test trigger on the Results slide. Is that right?
3. Is there a way to NOT have the test submit to the LMS unless they score 80 or higher?
1) After the last question in the quiz is answered and as the results slide shows.
2) Not needed.
3) I've not tried this but if the same question is always asked last, I guess you can try using your own submit button on it and adding some conditional triggers--like only submit the interaction if the score is equal to or greater than 80. Some quiz variables are exposed by Storyline (Results.ScorePercent, Results.ScorePoints, etc.) .
One concern is when the final score is determined by that and the timing when the final question is graded. If you put a condition on the submit trigger, not sure if the final score is known then or after. Not sure of the timing.
Also, by default, Storyline automatically updates the LMS every 10 minutes with the current learner status. If in the middle of a quiz, the current score will get transmitted.
