When variable changes trigger not working

I am on the latest version of Storyline 360 and when I use a trigger to try and show a layer when the variable of the slider changes, it is not showing the layer. I've used this without issue on previous versions of 360. I have checked that I am using the correct slider variable and that the variable is changing when I move the slider.
