Where are character the templates in Storyline now?

Mar 11, 2020

I just reviewed the template video on pre-loaded templates.  However, I do not see this option in Storyline 360.  So it this an old video and these character templates are no longer available.  Are the templates in Home>New slide>content Library the only templates that are built into Storyline now.  What happened to all those other templates?

This tutorial doesn't match what I have in Storyline in Articulate 360.

Any clarifications or help appreciated!

Hi Susan,

Happy to help!

With Storyline 360, it is connected to Content Library 360, which allows you to browse through templates and course assets that can be added to your project. You can locate these templates a few different ways within Storyline 360. Here is an example:

  • In Storyline, navigate to the Home tab on the ribbon, click the New Slide drop-down arrow and choose Content Library 360:

While the templates have changed, you can also add characters into Storyline through the Insert tab and clicking on Characters.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks, though this really didn't answer my question. I think the short answer is that the character templates are no longer available as shown in the tutorial and the tutorial is out of date.  I understand the current process and am very familiar with the Content Library/character additions, but I liked all the pre-built templates shown in the tutorial video and was looking for those, rather than having to rebuild with the pieces.  I don't find the content library templates as robust and they are just variations on the same template (so limited designs/interactions). The other option is to browser through all the user provided templates which are great, just takes more time than to have more built in.  Thanks again.
