White box behind character in Preview mode

I'm doing my first course in storyline, using Windows XP. When in preview mode, on almost every slide with a character there is a white box behind the character. Sometimes the box is a very small, narrow one behind the character's neck, other times it is behind the entire character. Will this go away when it is published? Or is there a setting that needs to change? Thanks!

Hey Jake!
You may find that a character you've inserted into Storyline has a white line or box behind it when you preview or publish. This issue was corrected in Update 2 for Storyline. You can download the update here.
