At some point in development, I noticed what looked like a grey bar at the right side of my Storyline course, both in preview mode and in Articulate Mobile Player. (Screen shots attached.) It appears that it may be the edge of the canvas but I'm not sure. Any idea what may be causing this (I'm guessing user error) and more importantly, how I go about correcting it?
That gray bar you're seeing is part of the Responsive Player in Storyline 360.
If you want that gray bar to disappear, simply disable all player features in Player Properties. Also, you'll want to remove all player Next and Previous buttons.
Hi i tried to disable all the player features but the grey bar is still there. Are there any other tips are how to get rid of that grey bar along the right?
AHHH I realized the gray bar was there because of second scene I had in the project: a PPT i imported in to pull elements from that was unformatted. So even though I specifically set Storyline to publish just the one scene, it takes into account that second scene and the grey bar appears for player features. Deleting the extraneous second scene made the grey bar go away.
Hi Leslie.... hopefully you can help me with this last residual issue. While the grey bar is gone, it does seem like there's a placeholder that's still there. Again only in mobile and most apparent when it's in the horizontal position. The module doesn't take up the full width of the screen. There's a black margin on the right side the same exact size as where the gray bar was. Would you have any idea how to get rid of that?
I've attached a shortened version of the module for your testing.
Leslie thank you for so being so on top of replying. Its really appreciated :) So far i'm getting the answer that even with removing the menu buttons that black area will remain. I've been working in Articulate Storyline for 3 years and that has never been the case before. It only started appearing when I upgraded to Storyline 3 version 10: 3.10.22406.0 I
I can attach old module outputs if it helps to see how it doesn't have the black bar and the module is able fill the full width of the browser. I know the previous version would actually output an "index_lms_html5.html" file that the new version has done away with. I wonder if that in any way affects it?
