I am revising some older articulate storyline file that was created by someone else, and I see the volume button on the player allows me to mute the audio with one single click. This is different from what I have searched on this forum. From what I read, it seems that only javascript can do that.
Can someone explain why this story file can use the player volume button to mute? I checked and it is using the "Classic" player. So it seems to me the previous developer didn't customize anything.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your finding. If you allow the volume to be present in your player settings, you have the ability to mute the entire slide.
In the examples you shared, it looks like there were multiple audio files that the users wanted to control vs. the entire slide.

Hi Leslie,
There is only one audio file in the example I shared.
I did find later that it seems the classic player would provide the mute function, whereas the modern player doesn't provide the mute function.
