I created a marker in my Storyline slide that bounces in 2 seconds after the text appears. That works just fine, but then when the Marker is clicked it takes, I don't know how long - maybe a minute - for it to open. During that minute you can click until the cows come home and nothing happens. What I want is the Marker to bounce in, as it does now, and then when the user clicks on it, the text box opens.

And also, are you seeing the delay after you have loaded your published output in the intended environment or where your learners will be accessing it? If you happen to be viewing the published output locally, as stated in this article, "If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail."
You will also want to be sure that the work on your course is being done on your C: drive vs. on a network drive, as that could contribute to odd or erratic behavior. And, it's often helpful to import the file into new file, or run this repair of Storyline.
