Working links in Storyline package using IE8

Jun 15, 2016

Hi,

I am trying to deploy a storyline package across our organisation.

A number of colleague still have IE8 browser and the package has a number of links included in it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can publish the package to ensure the links work? I am really struggling!

Many thanks

Laura

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear of your troubles! As noted on our System Requirements sheet, IE8 is a supported browser for Storyline 2, so may I ask if you are able to share a bit more about the environment where the course will be accessed (ie. an LMS or a web page, etc.) as described here? And may I ask if you have had a chance to review this information on Adding Hyperlinks to your presentation?

Hi Christie

Thanks for your response. It is to be held on local server with a link to our internal sharepoint site for people to access.

What format would you recommend I publish the package in? I am a little unsure which is best.

We are also having trouble now as some people in the organisation use google chrome and when accessing the package in chrome it is just showing black screens.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for your reply and first, I wanted to mention in case you were unaware... When you reply to a forum notification via email, the details in your signature are displayed publicly here in the post. You are welcome to use the EDIT button beneath your post if you would like to remove those details.

And, although I am not an expert on SharePoint, I would try publishing to Web first, and also, you might want to try testing your published output via tempshare.articulate.com on Chrome to see if you are finding the same black screens as those in your organization are reporting.

If issues persist and you'd like our Support Engineers to take a closer look for you, you would also be welcome to reach out via this form, and we will gladly follow along. :)
