I am trying to design a scenario in Storyline with characters that disappear when certain buttons are clicked. I have tried adding layers and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help
So the easiest way to do something like this is use the button to change the state of the character. So per say change state of Laura to Hidden when user presses button Diagnosis. Vice versa, change state of laura to normal when user presses button service location.
First thing you do is to make a button set which means that only one of the four buttons can be in a selected state at any time. To make a button set you highlight the four buttons > right click > button set.
Because I don't know when the characters should appear or hide I've just done sample triggers for the first female asian character so you can copy how it's done.
You want to show the character when the buttons gender or asian is selected. You want to hide her (I think) when the buttons gender or asian are not selected.
Easiest thing to do would be to write down what the combinations are of when each character show display or hide before you start writing the triggers.
