Would you like to resume where you left off?

Hello everyone,
I have encountered a problem with this resume feature.
The learner is able to navigate through the course (it is 196 pages.) Some have been able to complete it while others can't.
If they stop part way through (say at page 140) and exit the course, they are asked "Would you like to resume where you left off?"
We click "Yes" and the course opens again but not at page 140. It takes me back to page 76.
I use Force10 to run the Storyline file and I have checked the box to ignore flash cookies.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

There are limits on the amount if data that can be stored based on the type of scorm you are using.you Mayo be better using scorm 2004 if you can otherwise you have likely overrun the data limit
Alright thanks Phil, I'll find out what version of scorm we are running with.
You can test in Scormcloud, if the same thing doesn't happen it may be an issue with the course, if it happens it is likely the scorm limit
We do indeed use SCORM 1.2. I was in the process of going through scormcloud when I saw your message!
Does scormcloud use version 1.2? (or at least does it have the same limit of 4,000 characters for the suspend_data item?)
Scormcloud should have the data limit
Hi Chad and welcome to Heroes!
For additional information on Scorm data limits you may want to review this article.

Thanks for your help Phil and Ashley. In Scormcloud, when I get well into the course then exit and resume where I left off, it takes me back to somewhere around slide 53-57. Does this confirm that I've reached the data limit for the resume feature?
It is likely, can you use scorn 2004?
I'm not too sure, is that something I'd need to purchase a license for?
Some LMS's support it others don't, if yours does I don't think they will charge you extra
Alright, I'll see what I can find out.
Thank you very much for you help!
Thanks Chad for the additional information, and feel free to keep us posted once you're able to publish and upload a Scorm 2004 (3rd or 4th edition) version.
I've tried publishing with SCORM 2004 and it doesn't seem to be supported with our LMS called Force10.
Right now we are looking at splitting the course into four pieces that are each less than 50 slides so that we don't reach/exceed the 4096 character limit in the suspend_data file.
Change your slide to Reset to Initial state. It may resolve the issue. It does for me. It will bookmark the page where you left off, but will not remember the actions you took on the page.
Jenny! You're a life saver. Setting all the slides to "Reset to Initial State" seems to prevent exceeding the suspend_data file limit. Thanks for the help!
Glad that Jenny was able to assist you here Chad, and if you need anything else please let us know.
