Hi Shani,

1) You defined groups as answers and if you click on the groups only one is chosen, so this works correct. Only the little dots e.g. in scene 2 slide 2.5 don´t work, because they are not an item of your group sometimes and can be selected seperately. So either you select the dots to be the clickable item the users can choose from or integrate them into the group. Anyways I would recommend to NOT use groups as elements for your questions. You can write in any form you like so you don´t need an extra text field and you can cut out the dot and insert it into the state of the form. I did this for your slide 2.5 (see attached file).

2) Could it be that the invalid answer window only shows, when you select a dot which is not in a group for excample slide 2.4?

Hi Shani,

I always build one item with all state I need, for excample if you need a drag item (rectangle with text written in the rectangle) with dropped correct and dropped incorrect state. Then I duplicate it and adjust the text. Same with the drop items, create one and duplicate it when it has the final look. For multiple/one choice questions I do the same.

If you want to add a symbol or in your case a dot, that shows which item is chosen, you should insert the form into the state of the question object. Just create the dot, cut it out, go into the state of your question object and insert it directly into the state(s).

Hi Shani,

you are triggering different layers, so on the base layer the buttons can never be visited at the same time, because you´re no longer on the base layer after the first selection.

I solved this problem by adding a trigger on every Q-layer to change the state of the appropriate question button on the base layer. See attached file slide 1.2. :)

Hi Shani

see if the attached works how you want. I created 5 T/F variables and added triggers to each layer to set the trigger to true when the timeline starts.  Then I added a trigger to each layer to change the state of Next button to normal when the timeline ends  5 sec duration (you can change to when timeline starts if you want) on that layer on condition all 5 variables are true.  This means the user can do the FAQ's in any order.

Hope that helps you.

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your help but it did not fix my situation. What I really need is for the NEXT button to show after all of the questions are visited on slide 1.3. I am not sure what changes you made, I still do not see the NEXT button. I had some difficulty with 1.2 but Susi showed me where I went wrong on 1.2. I copied what she did but it isn't working properly on 1.3, I have attached the file again. Thank you again for your assistance.

Hi Shani

The Next button does show in my file - see Peek Video

I have it set to when timeline ends on the layer to give the user time to read - if you want to change it to when timeline starts you can do that.

I'm not seeing that slide 1.2 works - see Peek here

Hi Shani,

I'm on vacation from today on until the 20th, but I think Wendy can help you out. :)

What I did was simply add a layer trigger on every layer and selected the objects on the baselayer to change the states when timeline starts of the layer. It worked for me too, but sadly I can't take a look right now into your file. :( Do you maybe have different layer/slide properties in the 1.3 slide? I think the slides should advance my user, this often makes problems too.

I hope you can find a solution for this.

Hi there, Jonathan. Here are some things I would look for:

  • Is there anything overlapping part of the shape, transparent or otherwise?
  • Does the correct answer have a "selected" state?
  • Is the correct answer a group of objects?
  • Is the trouble occurring in Preview as well as published output?

Feel free to share the slide that is misbehaving, either here publicly or privately with me. With your permission, I can investigate what's happening. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
