Zoom Picture with States Issue

I am creating a drag and drop interaction, and I want the "dragable" items to have "zoom picture" functionality. Once they are dropped in the correct target, I want the zoom picture to be disabled. I disabled the zoom functionality in the states, but when I drop the items in the target, the zoom is still there. Help?
