Adding layer or transition - I think
Mar 13, 2020
Hi,
I have this slide in Storyline and I want OCM to appear first, then after the user clicks I want the definition to appear.
Can you please point me to a video/tutorial/user guide that will provide me with the information I need?

Hi Gary,
Let me help you with the transitioning of slides and layers in the Storyline you’re working.
I downloaded your powerpoint file and based on your design I suggest to use a new layer to show the definition of OCM. Then consider using a trigger to show the newly created layer after your learner clicked the assigned button. Triggers are used to tell Storyline what to do, such as defining when layers should appear and disappear. Here’s how you can add triggers:

I created a sample of your Storyline below showing the transition between OCM and its definition after your learner clicked the continue button. I also added a transition as an effect when changing between layers. To know more about adding transitions to slides and layers, you can check this tutorial.
You can also attach your .story file here to help you further with your course if you still have additional concerns.
Thank you Darrell. Now I need to go through the tutorial and review what you did so that I understand how to do it.
Thank you again Darrell.
