I am very new to Storyline. I'm trying to create a car reverse parallel parking animation using slider, so moving car step by step.
Using freeform I can make car follows the motion path but car is not oriented into path direction, if I manage to explain well. I want car to travel along the motion path oriented as real car on the road. Is something like that possible in
If you want to accurately animate the car, then I don’t think using a motion path is the best approach. I would use custom states for the car, each state showing it in a slightly different position, at a slightly different angle.

Thanks for help,
So, in motion path I can't orient the object (car) to travel along the path?

Ray
No, that's currently not possible.
Thank you
a very quick example using Michael's approach. I do feel my slider is the wrong way. or the car should have been travelling in the other direction.
Dear Michelle,
Thank you for your beautiful example. I got idea what to do... Now I understand what Michael suggested with "custom car states".
Again, thank you both for great help & instructions.
Thanks & regards,
Ray
Hi, Ratko,
I have achieved this kind of movement with the use of custom GIFs of the car animating. I cannot share the sample publicly, but I can send it over PM.
All the best,
Nejc
Hi Nejc (Žorga),
It would be great to share your animation. What I need to do?
Thanks & regards,
Ratko
Hi, Ratko, I have sent you a private message.
Thank you Nejc,
I think, I answered correctly, but still I can't proceed further. Am I OK?
Regards,
Ratko
1 m/s2 is the correct one. Just try randomly, you'll get a hit sooner or later. :)
Thanks Nejc,
Regards,
Ratko
