Audio for openers and transitions

Aug 26, 2014

Hi All! I searched on this topic and didn't see anything posted within the last year or so. I'd like to know if anyone could share their go-to music tracks for openers and transition slides. I have been pouring over hundreds of sound bites and music files and I just don't have the time to do this anymore. I just need a short list of really good instrumentals to pick from. And preferably free or low-cost since I work for the government. PS - My elearning is focused on software training and the brand is "It's Revolutionary."

Thanks is advance!

Hey Amanda!

Thanks for posting your question. I definitely know what you mean abut spending tons of time pouring over sound bites to find exactly the right one... I've been in that same exact situation more than once. Sometimes it's unavoidable because the content is always different so every situation requires it's own type of sound. I've used music and audio for openers in a lot of the e-learning samples and demos I've created (here, here and here are a few examples)

Here's a link to a related forum discussions on the topic of audio that is pretty recent: Sound effects and clips

I personally use http://www.freesfx.co.uk/. I stumbled upon it a few years ago when I was looking for free audio clips to use in a course and I've been going back ever since... it' got a decent selection and I've generally had good luck finding what I need on that site... best of all it's free.

Hope this helps :) Good luck.
