Bloodborne pathogens

Sep 27, 2012

Just got a request from our Safety director to create a compliance program for all employees on how to handle bloodborne pathogens correctly. With all of the thousands of creative minds out there, I figure somebody has already done this. Anyone willing to sharing their work so I don't have to recreate the proverbial wheel?

Thanks!

Hi BJ,

At your company, do you use an LMS?  If so, I would recommend looking at buying a bloodborne pathogen training course from a vendor. Companies like Skillsoft have a whole catalog of health and safety courses.  In fact, you might be able to find a company that has produced a bloodborne pathogen training that is applicable for your particular agency.

I work for a state government prison agency and built a course that covered bloodborne pathogens, so it was really specific to our employee's work environment.

BJ,

Have you looked into Rapid Course?  We have a course pre-built in Articulate Studio on this topic (and are in the process of converting it into Storyline as well).  Here is a link to the course information on the Rapid Course site: https://www.rapidcourse.com/Protecting-Against-Bloodborne-Pathogens.html.

The beauty of Rapid Course is that when you purchase the course, we give you all the source files so customizations are a snap!  Want to brand the course for your needs?  Add policies and procedures?  No problem!

Please let me know if you have any questions at all, or would like to preview the course.

Thanks!

From the Rapid Course site, you will have the ability to review the course description, learning objectives, and features of the course.  In addition, you will be able to see up to four screen shots of the course material.

If, at any time, you wish to preview the full course, please let me know.  We are here to help when/if you need us!

Warmest regards,

Brooke

Hi Joey and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! 🙂 This thread is a bit older, so the people who shared those examples might not be subscribed anymore. I don't recall seeing any recent examples on bloodborne pathogens, but there was this e-learning challenge on the topic of blood donations. Perhaps you might get some design ideas there. Hopefully someone in the community might have some specific examples they can share.
