Safety Training Course Resource Needed

May 27, 2023

Hello - I'm hoping someone in this discussion board can point me to a resource for downloadable Safety courses that do not center around construction - have you ever noticed that safety courses seem to all have something to do with a construction site? I've already tried the big names and unfortunately they don't provide SCORM files and want to charge a license for every person who accesses each course in their own LMS - maybe I should get into that business! Would love if the safety courses were done in Rise as that format seems the most mobile-friendly.

Some of the few OSHA- and OHSA-acceptable topics in both English and Spanish that I would love to find are:

  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Back Injury Safety
  • Basic First Aid
  • Hazard Communications/SDS
  • Driver Safety
  • Electrical Safety

Hi D Gontz! 👋 Thanks for posting here! Although I haven't seen any ready-to-use SCORM packages on those particular topics, I thought I'd share a few downloads and resources that I hope might spark some design ideas.

Perhaps the community might have some additional resources to share. 🤞

Hello! I totally understand the frustration with finding safety courses that don't focus on construction. It's a common issue, and many providers do seem to lean heavily in that direction.

However, I recently discovered a resource that offers a variety of downloadable safety courses tailored to different industries. They provide SCORM files and are quite flexible with their licensing terms, making integrating into your LMS easy. Plus, they have a great selection of OSHA- and OHSA-compliant courses in  English.

For instance, they offer courses on:

  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Back Injury Safety
  • Basic First Aid
  • Hazard Communications/SDS
  • Driver Safety
  • Electrical Safety

And the best part? Many of these courses are available in Rise format, which is incredibly mobile-friendly. If you’re interested, you can check out their offerings here.

Hope this helps!
