I saw this well-executed camera simulator in my news feeds this week and I think it has some of my favorite qualities of online training (in no particular order):
A common but challenging scenario
Students make decisions that determine the outcome of the simulation
Quick and responsive feedback
Simple controls but also have a way to get more detailed information
The feedback when you take pictures directs you to learning the controls. I had to figure out that I needed to change the shutter speed to compensate for her motion. Great link.
