We are dealing with a regulator who in addition to requiring students' final quiz scores, also requires that we show the total seat time that students spend in the course. The course will be spread across multiple slides, so I suppose that I'd need to use some sort of variable, though I'm not sure what that would be.
The course will be housed in Moodle which captures the time that users launch a SCORM object, but don't capture the time that SCORM results are submitted. Is this something that I might be able to use Tin Can for?

Your LMS should track total seat time, this will be sent back by storyline. Moodle will store total time spent.
