Competence manual

Jun 19, 2012

Hi!

I would like to create a competence manual, but have not decided how to do this exactly.

I'm searching for good tips/ideas!

Thank you Russ.

We are rewriting our function descriptions and including competences.

What I want is a sort of competences manual, in which the competences are described and which is accessibele for all our managers and colleagues. I am trying to find out if I can use one of the articulate programs to create this.

If you have some examples, It woud be great when I could have a look!

Hi Jenny,

Here is an example of how we make our Competency Profiles available to our professional members. (This is just an example).

We have found that competency self-assessment forms are very popular. Here is an example of what we do on our nursing site. For our clients, we track the competency rating scores for analysis and research purposes. This is one measure of what the members "think" they need to learn and is useful in planning conferences and workshops.

I suppose you can use something like Engage or Presenter to present the information, but I am not sure what benefits it would have over simply making the competencies available to them. Making it interactive (QuizMaker, StoryLine) will definitely get and hold their attention better,

Best of success with your project.

Russ
