Creating Guides for Closed Captioning

I'm in the process of creating a standard guide location for when we need to develop content for 508 compliance.

I've searched the forums and the responses to the ability to change the size and location of the captioning are "it's placed in a standard location."

Can someone tell me how much screen "real estate" is taken up by the captions so I can create guides for my templates?

How much space is taken up depends on how you caption, and if any captions are long enough they display on two lines. It can also vary by screen ratio (4:3 vs 16:9). Generally, I try to reserve the bottom 1/5th of the screen for closed caption overlay.

So about 108 pixels high?
