delays in Mobile App on iPad

Hello,

We are experiencing intermittent delays of up to 8-10 seconds between slides after clicking "next" to progress to the next slide. This only appears to be happening on iPad with the mobile player. Laptops connected via the same wireless network progress with no delay, so we don't believe its bandwidth related.

Any suggestions or known issues with transitions in the mobile player?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your post. There could be a couple of different reasons that could be contributing to the delay.

What version of Storyline are you currently running? To find this information, click on "Help" and "About Articulate Storyline". If you're not running version 2 (1212.1412), please download and install Update 2 from the link below. Once you've finished installing, republish your course, upload it and test it on your iPad. Does the same thing happen?

Articulate > Download Storyline Update 2

If you're already running Update 2 let us know and we'll go from there. If not, let us know if you're experiencing the same delay after installation and republishing.

Hi Brian,

I would make sure of the following.

1. Although you're running Update 2, has the course currently causing the problem been republished after you installed the update? If not, I would suggest republishing and see if that fixes the issue.

2. Typically, the iPad pushes notifications to update apps you might have loaded, but make sure you're running the newest update to the Articulate Mobile Player (1.75) released on Apr. 9th.

3. Finally, if all those things are in place and you're still experiencing problems, I would open up a support case from our main website here.
