E-Learning Developer (freelance opportunity)

Mar 06, 2018

MCIS, a non-profit language service provider in Toronto, Canada, is looking for an E-Learning developer to help develop 8 online modules of our new Translator Training Program. If you have E-Learning development experience and have a passion to create social impact, this is the perfect opportunity.

MCIS’ training program was created to offer translation training opportunities to professionals who work in non-official languages, which will then help different language and cultural communities have access to information and services through professionally done translations. The program is very comprehensive and includes introductions to popular and emerging fields like Subtitling, Transcription, Transcreation and Localization.

As a contractor, the developer can work remotely and should have about 2 years experience, and be able to work in Storyline 2.

If interested and available to work on this project from March – May 2018, please respond to this thread with contact info to get more project details.

Gabriela - I went to your site and read about your purpose/vision/intent etc. It appears that you have a very aggressive schedule in front of you. We are already in the middle of March which leaves April and May to accomplish your goals - not including contracts, proposals, requirements, client communications, review/revisions, graphic design, image acquisition,  etc. Your timeline will limit the learning outcomes to about one module to be completed in 3- 4 days - the equivalent to a low Level 1 design/development effort. Would this satisfy your organization's intent? We have completed multi-lingual work for the World Bank, IFC, OECD, Volvo, Dunn&Bradstreet, WTO, etc. and all of these organizations invested more time to accomplish their goals. If you are satisfied with my assumptions, please include us. Can you share more of your anticipated outcomes?Regards.
