Long story short. Need a LMS system where employees can login without email address.
We have 100s of folk who want to access our courses but are not issued with company emails and due to unions not able to use there own. So we need to find a way of hosting elearning where they can access it without the use of a email.
I believe Moodle may allow you to do this. I've not had any experience of this personally, but i've found a link that might help you (although it is a few years old now, hopefully it'll still be relevant):
MOodle will let you do it, you could also use fake email addresses with Articulate online, I expect most LMS will allow you to use fake email address, the problem comes when they forget their password.
Moodle does allow you to enter a username that isn't an email address. But you do have to enter an email although it can be fake . The only problem is if someone forgets their password as administrator would need to be contacted to change it and tell them it manually.
You may want to look for an LMS that utilizes "enrollment keys". These can be configured to allow learners to sign up themselves up into a pre-set profile that you create, maintain a unique learner ID, and still not require an email!
For example..... you set up a key for "learner Type A" that pre assigns landing page, available content, access to certain areas etc. And you can decide how many learner ids can be issued from each key without an admin having to be involved every time with far more control than just allowing open enrollment.
Don't forget because you can pre-configure keys (and the profiles and content), you can have it set up so that everyone who uses X key automatically shows up as belonging to this union hall for example. Or everyone that creates an learner id using Y key is an apprentice vs a journeyman.
NOTE: Please..... please..... consider that most LMS admins will typically counsel you to think hard about the hidden issues of allowing unfettered open enrollment to a broad group. For example, users creating duplicate accounts every time someone forgets a password ... especially when a unique email is not required. My personal favorite was "catlover9", a young lady who created nine different accounts and took courses on most of them. Fun to reconcile that type of learning record when you have hundreds or thousands of learners.

Will they have some other sort of identifying login, like an employee id? How would they be tracked?
I believe we can change our settings to allow logins to be something other than email.
