embeded MP4 Video won't play when published course is uploaded to shared drive

Feb 24, 2015

I published a course with an embeded MP4 video. The published course plays fine on my computer. When I upload the course to the share drive the embedded video disappears.  So I am not certain why that is happening.

After uploading the course to the shared drive, I tested it with both Internet Explorer and FireFox.  Neither one of those browsers allowed me to see the video after the course was uploaded to the shared drive.

I would like to know how I can get the video to show up in published course after it is uploaded to the shared drive.  I also ensured that there were no spaces in the video name, per the instructions on the Articulate website.

It sounds like a local security issue, you may be publishing to the wrong environment for the video to work correctly. There is a section at the end about MIME types as well, though I doubt it is that. Sorry I can't be of more help right now.

Thank you. The video works on the LMS but it won't work on shared drive. I learned from a previous response that articulate does not support flash content on shared drives.

Thank you again.
