Is there a way to require people put something in the data entry field? On my attached example (a layer), I don't want the "Submit" button (takes to next layer that will display what they typed) to show up until something is entered.
You can add a condition to the Submit button trigger that requires a value in the text field variable.
You can add a message text box, stating that you must type something in the field, have it in invisible state, and change its state to normal when pressing the Submit button with the condition of the variable being blank (or with the default value).
You can follow the triggers and object states in the attached file.

Hi Marinetta -
You can do this fairly easily.
1 - set the initial state of the submit button to disabled
2 - create a trigger that changes the state of the submit button to Normal when the variable for the text box DOES NOT equal blank
I hope this helps.
