Forcing User to Revisit Incorrect Answers

Oct 27, 2017

Hi,

I  am interested in learning if there is a way to utilize variables to force a user to revisit and re-answer the questions they answered incorrectly, following the Results slide.

Thanks!

Hi Korey,

Interesting idea! I've never done anything like that but I would try this:

  1. Create 2 true/false variables for each question with an initial value of false. You could name them Q1correct and Q2 incorrect, for example and change the number after the Q so it corresponds to the question number.
  2. Add a trigger to the correct feedback layer of each quiz question that adds 1 to the "correct" variable when the timeline starts.
  3. Add a trigger to the in correct feedback layer of each quiz question that adds 1 to the "incorrect" variable when the timeline starts.
  4. Add a trigger to the base layer of each quiz that says jump to next slide when the timelines starts if the incorrect variable is equal to true.
  5. Add a trigger on the retry button (which you can rename as you wish) of the results slide that directs learners to the beginning of the quiz.

The only issue I foresee here is that I'm not sure how the final score will look if the person only retries some of the questions.

Disclaimer: I haven't tried this out, so I'm not positive that it will work, but that's where I would start. Let me know if you run into any issues!
