Freelance eLearning Developer? Here's a project...

Jun 13, 2012

I'd like to pass along a project to the community, which I can't take on due to other obligations.

The client, Jerry L. Carlton, said it was alright to post the project to the community. Feel free to contact Jerry at jcarltonmail@gmail.com - if you can propose a solution within his budget.

Below are a few answers Jerry was kind enough to provide in our Project Planner, this should help.

Project Summary

Create a Texas law eviction elearning course for apartment and residential

property managers based upon an existing powerpoint presentation. I think

I would like to incorporate some scenarios, learner interaction and quiz

components. Also considering a certificate issuance. However, budget is a

major consideration.

If successful, this would be the first of multiple courses that I would create.

Eventually, there would be a whole series of legal information courses for

property managers.

No outside partners or agencies are contemplated at this time

Receptive to working with vendors remotely?

Yes.

When does our work need to be finished?

No specific completion date at this time.

Budget for this project.

What can we do for $2k?

Is this a redesign of something that exists or designing something new?

New eLearning

What are your major goals for this project?

Effective learning, attractive, high quality looking product, smoothly and

simply operated by the end user. I would want property management

companies be impressed with the product so they would have multiple

employees take the course(s) and be interested in subscribing to other

potential products and services that I can create.

To the best of your ability, describe the primary and secondary users of your elearning.

Primary users of this course will be onsite property managers and assistant

managers at apartment complexes in Texas.

Secondary users could be regional or area managers that want to know as

much or more than the managers, or who would want to implement policies

and practices to manage the property in a safer legal manner.

Other users of this course would be smaller property owners of single family

rental properties who want to learn the same information.

When someone has completed your elearning, what should they be able to do?

  1. Prepare leases better,
  2. take good preparatory actions before filing an eviction,
  3. file a good eviction complaint,
  4. prepare for an eviction trial,
  5. present good eviction evidence to win at trial.

Have you seen any elearning recently that you've liked the visual design of? What did you

like about it? (If you can't think of any have a look through elearningexamples.com)

I like the “Creating Effective Meetings” program. I watched a lot of it. I like the

cartoon character usage and it has a lot of interaction for the user.

Will your elearning include media-intensive components such as video, narration, and other

rich media?

Of course, I would like that, but I have to balance it with the budget issue.

Again, contact Jerry at jcarltonmail@gmail.com to inquire about this project.
