Glossar
Dec 06, 2013
Hi,
I am not so used to Articulate 13 yet, but I try to find an answer for the following problem.
I did not find any possibilits to change format of Glossary.
The Words are pretty long - to long to show them in both:
- Title (right side)
- Summary (left column)
For this reason most of them are cropped.
It looks like: "Bedingungs-/Entscheidungsüb....."
My problem is:
There is no place, where THE USER of my E-Learning can find the WHOLE word he looks for.
Do I really have to repeat it for the 3rd time within explanation text?
What I looked for:
- Changing font sice (is only possible within description itself - not in those two fields)
- Write it within two lines (It would be ok if I do this just in the title line)
What can I do here?
I can not change these words anyway as those Words are DEFINED :-(
Thank you for helping me, Eva

Hi Eva,
Welcome to E-Learning Heroes.
I'm sure a member of the Articulate Team will post a helpful reply soon.

Hi Eva,
Can you please upload a screenshot of your current glossary? I think I understand what you want to do.
David
Here you can see an example - the marked words are cropped:
I have to use several very long therms. They are defined and I can not change them.
The user can not read the complete therm within the left column and sometimes even the right filed is to short.
Is there a possibility to
- change font size or
- use a word wrape / line break (at least on the right field)?
Eva
Hi Eva,
Okay, I understand now.
There is a limit to the number of characters you can use. You can change the width of the terms list:
That will provide more room for your glossary terms.
Here's where you can learn more:

Hi,
thank you, but it did not help me: as you see in my snapshot above, there are to long therms in both of the list (the right and the left one).
So I need either
- a button to allow line breaking in both therms or
- a possibility to change the font size of the therms - all I found is the possibility to change Font Size of the descripiton text.
Please have another look on my snapshot.
Thank you, Eva
Eva, I don't think it's possible to adjust the font in an Engage interaction. I've looked but cannot find anything. I guess it is what it is....
It would be a great feature request though. I'm currently beta testing Update2 for studio'13 and will point them to this thread.
@David, what does that 'Filter' checkbox do. I can't tell any difference when previewing my content when it's on or off?
