I have a medical terminology instructor who wants to have her students take the mid-term exam by recording their dictation of the words and then sending the recording to her to listen to and grade. To save space on our LMS, does anyone know about a free online voice recording tool where students who did not have a microphone on their computer could call in on the phone to take this exam?

You can try ispring suite. It was an e-learning tool that helps the learners to interact with the other learners, tutors and other references for the courses any time. This method provides the learners a physical classroom experience that makes learning better.

Wonder if voicethread would work? They allow comments to be called in. The instructor could even give students feedback here too.

Hope it helps!

Hmm, what if they set up Sound Cloud accounts? There have phone apps (Android and I believe iOS) to record and the comments can go directly over the track. Share the link and bam!
