How much do you pay SMEs?

We're working on a strategic plan for developing eLearning within an organization, and we're trying to figure out how much to budget for SMEs.

 

How much do you pay your SMEs for developing eLearning programs? Assume fee includes developing an outline and source content for a 1-hour course.

Hi Rachael, could you provide a bit more context for your request?  Are you talking about budgeting for internal experts, hiring a full time employee or hiring a consultant on contract? 

If you are hiring a full time employee or a consultant I would think the amount you have to pay would be contingent on what the subject is and  the level of knowledge the person has.
