Hi There
I am trying to insert Video from Website - i.e. a Vimeo, into a slide and have read through the other discussions without any success. (Articulate Storyline2)
I insert the copied and pasted a vimeo e.g. https://vimeo.com/###### and I get a message "that this video cannot be inserted from this code. verify the code". But this is the only code I can find and it plays perfectly if I copy and paste it into the search bar.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks
Gail

yep I have the same problem. The only thing I can think of is to convert youtube files to mp4 and insert them as video from file.
Ok great thanks Liz - will give that a go :-) Enjoy the weekend
Don't use the address that is in your browser address bar.
You have to take the address from the Embed link.
Click the share button, and copy the embed address. You don't need the whole thing, just the "https://..." part
I couldn't select just the URL from their window, so I copied it all and pasted it into a word document. Then I could copy just that URL.
Hope that helps!
How are you inserting the vimeo? Are you getting the embed code or just copying the hyperlink?
The problem with embedding videos directly in storyline is they then eat up your LMS bandwidth and server space.
Hi Tristan
I am just copying the hyperlink. We don't use an LMS so will publish the e-learning as html5 for use on any player.
Attached is the message I receive when i copy/paste the vimeo hyperlink
Thanks Gail
You need the embed link as it is a different hyperlink.o on
On vimeo choose the video you wish to embed. Select share then copy the link from inside embed code and paste it into a web object in storyline.
It will look something like this:
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/9999999" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
you just need the https://player.vimeo.com/video/9999999 section.
HI Tristan
You have made my week - it worked - I have played about with this for hours unable to work it out. Yay!

Have a great weekend.
