JOB-NYC-Articulate Presenter/Engage Authoring on October 12&13

Oct 10, 2011

Technology-enabled learning team at global professional services firm seeks developer skilled in Articulate Presenter and Engage for 2-day experimental project. You would be supporting a small, fun, creative project team in a workshop from 11:30 to 5:30 on both October 12th and 13th. The work would be done on-site in the East Village. We need someone who is technically excellent in PowerPoint and fully versed in building the full range of interactions supported by Presenter and Engage as well as working with the template features of the platform. (We know it's not a super complex authoring tool; we just don't have time to ramp up ourselves before the session.) This is probably an ideal role for a graduate student with a focus on learning technology and an interest in corporate training. You would serve as the engineer on a team of people prototyping a rapid eLearning product. The team will include a writer and a learning designer. Your design suggestions would also be welcome. Image editing and visual design skills a plus, but not required.

The pay is modest for development work but it will be an opportunity to work with seasoned veterans of the eLearning industry from one of the top eLearning development organizations. You would also be free to join us for a morning talk on contextual design from "Incontext" (www.incontext.com) as well as join us for a dinner on Wednesday night (those hours would obviously not be paid). The team is very hard working, but also quite fun and irreverant. T shirt and jeans is perfectly fine attire.

The primary work is on October 12th and 13th. Ideally, you would come by our office for an hour or two on the morning of the 10th or 11th to do some ramp-up work (also paid). Our office is on 52nd and Madison.  If interested, please contact adam_neaman [at] mckinsey.com
