Memphis, TN area Articulate User Group

Hey all!
We know this forums rocks and workshops are great, but sometimes it's just great to connect with fellow Storyline users face to face in an informal environment.
I'd love to become more active with the Memphis elearning community and thought it would be helpful to start an Articulate user group.
There's a lot of cool spots we could meet either monthly, quarterly, or whatever is convenient. If anything we can swap stories over BBQ Nachos, Blues, and local Brews!
Send me PM if you're interested or contact me through my website.

Good luck Kevin! My user group checklist is headed your way today.
I created a form for you to complete if you're interested in a Memphis User Group:

Hi Kevin, I live a little outside of Memphis. I work for the state and we only have Studio 09 (sad but true). I didn't know if all of your group has Storyline or not and whether or not my group would fit in with your group or not. Let me know when you all will meet again and if you think that we could benefit from your group.
Thanks,
Judy Kendrick
Hi Judy,
Your ears must have been ringing! We were *just* looking at venues and schedules yesterday. It's been a long year so far and really hard making the time to set up initial logistics. But...I think we're getting real close to having our first meeting soon.
Thanks and I'll update here with more info.
Thanks

Hi All! I'm new to Storyline and the L&D field. I'd love to meet others who have more experience and bounce some ideas. Let me know if the meet up dates were ever finalized. Talk soon! -Christina.
Hi Christina,
We've had a couple small get togethers this year, but never really got off the ground. Mostly due to venue and location.
Good news is I've found a location that is willing to offer their space AND WiFi. Planning now to have the first 2016 meeting in January. Stay tuned...
It's been nearly a year to get this off the ground, but we're all set for the inaugural Memphis (or Midsouth) Articulate User Group to meet! Otherwise unofficially known as MAUG.
Date: Wednesday, January 13 2015
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CT
Location: University of Memphis, Ball Hall room #320
If you are interested, complete this form to receive more detailed information.
Thanks for coordinating this, Kevin!
Hey Kevin! I just realized you're teaching the Articulate Storyline course in Feb hosted my the local ATD Chapter. How cool! I just registered for the course and I'm looking forward to learning a lot. Just giving you a heads up...see you in Jan at the MAUG meeting.
Hi Kevin,
I'd love to get more involved as well. I wish I could go to the first meeting but I'll be out of town at the ATD TechKnowledge conference. I have filled out the form that Tom posted. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to eventually meet up with you all!
Rachel
Hi Rachel, No worries. You and a few others will be out of town for the same conference. I'll be sure an inform everyone of what our big first party was all about!
The inaugural meet-up of the Memphis Articulate User Group #MAUG is next week!
WHEN: Wednesday, January 13 from 5:30-7:00 PM
WHERE: University of Memphis, Ball Hall, Room 320 - Instructional Design & Technologies Lab
The first meeting's agenda is to just get our feet wet. To figure out what we want from our times together and build a schedule for the year.
If you're in the area, hope you can make it! If not, fill out this contact form so I'll have your contact info where you can receive future notices.
Thanks for all your help this week Kevin! I am really bummed I will not be able to make this meeting next week but I am really looking forward to getting involved in the group.
You're welcome Will!
We'll be connecting more soon and I'll be sure to keep you informed of how the meeting went as well as future meetings.
Hi, I live in Memphis and would like to join this group. Please let me know when you meet up again.
Look forward to meeting with you all.
Hi Veverly,
We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Next meeting is March 9 and we meet from 5:30-7:00 at the University of Memphis.
If you could take a moment and fill out this form, I'll add you to the User Group email group so you will get the agenda prior to the next meeting.
Welcome aboard!
Kevin

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!
Our first Memphis Articulate User Group meeting of the new year is today! Apologies for literally zero lead time on this.
We tried various times and days last year to learn more about different availabilities and schedules. We've learned the lunch hour-ish is best for most folks in the Memphis metro region, and meeting once a month was a good pace. We're going to continue monthly meetings this year.
TIME: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CST
DAY(s): Either Tuesdays or Wednesdays - each month will dictate.
WHERE: University of Memphis, Ball Hall, Rm 320
Our agenda today is introducing Articulate 360 and its new awesomeness! And, to plan our future meetings. I'll return here and post the schedule for the remainder of the year as soon as it's ready.
If you're in the Memphis metro area and are interested in attending, PM me or fill out this form: http://bit.ly/Memphis-User-Group
Thanks!
Hi there,
I am interested in attending but today is not good for me. I have a meeting
planned but in the future I should be able to make these times.
Thanks,
Veverly
