Multiple Choice slide master formatting issue
Dec 14, 2016
I am currently set up a large question databank (almost 200 questions) for an pilot training electronic questionnaire. Importing questions was not a problem of any matter (imported by using txt files). Creating quizzing m/c master slide with the backgrounds and all other stuff needed for the view (logos, names etc.)was not a problem as well. But when i tried to format the area where the m/c answer have to be put in place the problems started. In the master slide there is no choice to format the m/c paretn answer buttons. So i applied all the possible formats to the box labeld as "Click to edit Choice text styles). These were text style, text size and text box setting . Nothing else was changed from the default setting. Whena I apply the master slide to the question databank slides then i got the Multiple choice box aligned as expected but the answers boxes and button selection are not formatted at all (they are displayed as per default I imagine). I want the answer distributed vertically respect to parent Multiple choice box in automatic way and the type and size of the text as Arial (not the default ones).
I tried several option and the only is working is to select for each slide the three answers boxes and apply the format for text type and size and the parent vertical distribution manually. This is very time consuming way to operate and I would like to know if there is a better way to apply the required format to all the questions lides all toghether.
hoping some HERO could hel me on this issue.

Hi Sandra!
We have an issue reported to our QA Team related to some placeholders on the slide master not retaining formatting.
If you would like our team to take a look so we can test, verify, and add this to our report if needed, please feel free to reach out privately here.
I have submitted a case with storyline files attached for the QA Team analysis.
Reference is: Articulate Case # 00989167
Thanks Sandro - looks like Wilbert is doing some testing :)
And feedback from testing ?
Thanks
Hey Sandro - looks like Wilbert sent a response on 1/12. Did you not receive it? Perhaps it went into a spam/junk folder? I will forward the response so that you can keep an eye out. It will be from support@articulate.com.
Hi Leslie,
I received the feedback from Wilbert. It seems that the feature I am looking for is not currently available, so as per Wilbert suggestion I have submitted a feature request for next product development. Hoping the request will be evaluated positively and it will be get designed soon.
Thank You for support.
Thanks so much Sandro!
I have this same question, and I'm wondering if this feature has been implemented yet.
To restate the issue: there needs to be a way to set formatting options for the text boxes that contain all the potential answers to multiple choice questions (e.g. internal margins, text alignment, text box size) in the master layout so that you don't have to select each text box (e.g. 4 different text boxes if the question has 4 possible answers) on every quiz slide and choose Format Shape > Text Box and set the options you want over and over manually. In other words, I want to set up the standard formatting for every multiple choice answer ONCE as part of the slide layout and then when I import my questions and answers and apply that layout, it will all look the way I want it to automatically. The current situation (as far as I can tell) is extremely tedious.
Is there now a way to do this that I am not seeing? Thank you.
