My client (school) wants learners to be able to take away a personalized 'Action Plan' built upon the basis of answers / responses which they provide throughout the course. (e.g. from multi-select, short answer activities.) We are looking at Rise / Storyline as the authoring tools, and publishing to an LMS so to enable the user-tracking.
Is it possible to build such a portfolio-style take-away for users using Storyline / Rise? If yes, any ideas on how one would go about doing so? I can't see anything anywhere in these pages or the Articulate support pages.
No matter what tool you're using, there's no automatic way to provide feedback (and thus an action plan) to learners on the basis of short answer questions, because it takes a human to be able to analyze those answers and decide what kind of remediation is necessary.
However, you could set something up in Storyline with any other type of question where the answers are fixed (drag & drop, true/false, multiple choice, fill in the blank...).
You'd need to set up variables on your questions that track whether the learner responded correctly or not and then add a slide at the end of the course that tells them what they need to do based on their answers. Here's a tutorial to help you get started with variables.
