One of my heroes advised me I could publish my course to WEB - and then copy it to dropbox.com to let others see it. It works fine when I play it from my o wn dropbox, but when I go outside that to view it like another person would, then it doesn't launch. Any suggestions, heroes.
If you copy all of your files into your public folder then everyone will have access to it. Right click the player.html file and copy the URL. Anything you drop into your public folder is automatically synced up to a web server and accessible via a web link.
I copied all my files (player folder, player icon, data folder) to my shared DropBox foler. When I click the player icon from my Dropbox folder, nothing happens. Help!
Can you explain what you mean by player icon? Usually what happens is you copy the "main folder" onto Dropbox, and all the subfolders and files come with it.
So, for example, copy a folder called Mary_H output into Dropbox. Then open that folder and click on the story.html file inside. This should open the course in a browser.
That said, I have had some people tell me it didn't work.
In that case, if you're looking for a temporary solution, in this week's Word of Mouth Blog David Anderson linked to a post by Tom Kuhlman on using Articulate's tempshare.
