I'm working on a storyline project with a pre-made template, and there are two variables in each slide that I want to understand better. One is "pageRef" and it sets to the name of the layer shown when the timeline starts, and the other is "screenType", which sets to "basic" or "video" depending on the type of slide. My question is why are these variables in the project? I'm confused how this adds any functionality to the course and seems redundant. What am I missing?
are you referring to one of the Articulate templates or your company template? You should be able to click the variables list use count column and see the reference to where these are used.
Thanks Wendy! I got sidetracked with other projects and just saw I got a response. It is a company template. I will look at the variables list and see if that gives me clarity.
