Quiz Answer Rewards

Hi,

At present I have a quiz (using built-in quiz features) on my elearning course with users accumulating their score based on correct answers.  I have a summary slide at the end of the course to indicate their score and whether they passed or not. All pretty standard so far.

I want to take this a step further by allowing the user to accumulate rewards i.e gold coins based on their correct answers. For example, they would see the running total of coins as they correctly answer the questions and progress through the course. Essentially, 1 correct answer equals 1 gold coin. I click Submit button, if answer is correct, display coin.

I was wondering what the best way to achieve this is.
