Quiz Branching - Healthcare

Jun 01, 2012

Hi all,

Healthcare professionals, I need your input on this...

I have to convert some articles into online course and that's fine, come-up with learning objectives etc. All of these are credit courses, and instead of having a pre and post test, he wants to have some other way of assessment which can indicate some sort of knowledge transfer and not just giving them 2 or 3 attempts at the quiz.

He really wants that at the end of each learning objective maybe after 3-4 slide depending on content follow it up with a question/scenario but if they are unable they will be asked another question on the same topic.

This means creating multiple quiz for each course, but can this be done? can we combine all the scored from each of the quiz into one final score.

What other way can I do this?

Have questions at the end and then branch them out?

(he does not just want to assess retention of information but to really assess the application of knowledge learned)

Really need your ideas,a s this is a new role for me and I need to give some options back to him.

Sid,

Are you using Storyline or Studio?  If Studio, you can have more than one quiz, but only one can report to the LMS.  See here:

If using Storyline, Not only can you include more than one question bank, you can have a results slide that then grabs other results slides (see screenshot below).  I've included a sample file (I am hoping the question banks copy with it and aren't local, but the structure would be the same.
