Scrum Methodology for e-learning content development

Oct 10, 2013

Hi everyone,

How about using Scrum in order to develop e-learning content? I am thinking of using Scrum for an e-learning project and I have found a scrum web tool called ontimenow as well as Trello.com that facilitate our team's and SMEs collaboration.

I'd like to share some ideas and experiences with the community.

The first positive experience I had, after delivering on-time the first working sprint to customer, was that they test it and liked it a lot, the delivered e-learning content module was exactly what they have in mind and was pre-agreed in order to increase their performance, and finally that we built TRUST for our work in order to deliver successfully the future sprints.

Does anyone has similar experience working with Scrum?

Hi Andreas,

I find myself modeling my team's process more and more after software dev methodologies. For one, there are a LOT of core similarities and a great deal of R&D is done in that field. Why not leverage it? It only takes one experience of getting a nearly completed module rejected at the end of the project to peak some interest in an iterative process.

As for Agile and Scrum, I have taken on the iterative and prototype elements of the methodology but have yet to fully embrace the entire process. I would love to hear more about how you have applied the full process to ID. Do you have both a Product Owner and ScrumMaster?
